Graduation

As a kid, I wasn't sure what adults meant when they said "time flies." However, 4 years, one degree, and two minors later, I can say with complete certainty that I finally understand. My undergraduate career has flown right by my eyes. I am about to make my debut as a college graduate and set foot into the 'real world.' Can you believe it?! As I reflect on my time at the University of North Texas, I cannot help but feel an immense sense of pride. The long hours in the studio, frustration, copious amounts of caffeine -- it was all worth it. Long hours in the studio meant plenty of time to bond with friends, the frustration lead to countless breakthroughs, and the caffeine...well, I'm a Starbucks rewards member now.

I am proud of each of the talented artists who have navigated this journey with me and all of the things they have accomplished. I am also proud of myself for working diligently over the past four years and earning magna cum laude status. I will miss Denton and its endearing charm when I leave, but I know there are bigger and brighter things waiting for me on the horizon. I am grateful for everything this city and this institution has taught me, and they will forever hold a special place in my heart.

We did it, y'all!
